Jennifer Ruggins Muir
From on-boarding new volunteers to garden visits, no two days are the same in the life of our coordinator, whose many years of experience as a professional chef, seasoned gardener and mother of 3 she lends to our beloved Knowlton Academy Secret Garden.
Amanda Parkinson
Chair of the KAAPG and parent of two children attending Knowlton Academy, Amanda is a professional orchardist who owns and operates several acres of apple orchards in Frelighsburg with her husband, Amanda brings much knowledge to our team about trees, fruit trees and gardening in general. She has 1 son at Knowlton Academy.
Chris Muir
Father of 3 children at Knowlton Academy, Chris brings with him extensive knowledge of farming, growing and building learnt during his upbringing on a large scale sheep and cattle station in the Australian Outback. He is also the owner and operator of the Wild Hibiscus Flower Company who supply preseved and dried Australian botanicals across North America.
Anita Fowser
Chartered Professional Accountant, partner at Duke CPA Inc., Chartered Professional Accounting firm in the area and mother of one student attending Knowlton Academy.
Liza Norton
Liza is a supply teacher for The Eastern Townships School Board with a background in Special Care Counseling and is a pationate gardening enthusiast and volunteer. She has 4 children who attended Knowlton Academy.
Sam Greenwood
Chef and kitchen manager at the Knowlton Marina in the summer, working with Le Terroir Solidaire Cooperative on large scale food transformation to feed more of the region with local food all year long. Sam's expertise is in food transformation and sharing connections to the "millenials" in the local food system.
Richard Gagnon
Management Consultant in Crisis Management, Organizational Continuity and Disaster Recovery. He is currently in his 24th year as School Commissioner for the Eastern Townships School Board. His love for growing things and minds drew him instantly to this program.
Judith Duncanson
A long standing member of our community, Judith is our Senior Community Liasion.
Tracey Dixon
Tracey, a parent and step-parent of 4 graduates of Knowlton Academy and has over 20 years experience working in the natural foods and naturopath industry and works as well as a professional gardener. Her passion for heathy living has led her to implement several food systems at the school to support food security for the students.
